Position: SWITCH ENGINEER (Benin)

DEPARTMENT: Network Group
LOCATION: Edo

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- BTS Site integration/upgrade
- Cost savings for in house deployment/upgrades
- Faulty HW units managed via SPMS, recorded and reported
- Meet all availability targets
- Execute change requests/planned work using switch procedures
- Reduce SS/BSS failures.
- Escalate unresolved faults to HLS
- Assist Customer Service Representatives in executing their tasks
- Ensure switching equipment redundancy.
- Track HW faults until resolution
- Supervision of contractors.
- RDLU inspection/ routine visit
- Execute RDLU cutovers
- Site re-parenting using up to date switch procedures
- Execute routine maintenance activities.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Open Plan office. Team-based, co-operative. Long hours when required. Some traveling is required. Drivers license
REPORTING TO: Team Lead, Switch
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 4 years experience in the telecomm or related industry with at least 3 years GSM SS and BSS experience in the Ericsson AXE environment.
- Experience in Data Transcript, Network Integration and Acceptance Testing.
- Understanding of telecommunications protocols like CCITT 7, BSSAP, MAP, ISUP, etc
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent
QUALIFICATION:
BSC Electrical/Electronic Engineering or any telecoms related degree

SALES SUPPORT OFFICER VACANCY AT MTN NIGERIA

Position: Sales Support Officer

Department: Sales and Distribution

Job Description:
Sales Support supervisor (Order)
Central receipt and processing of orders for MTN products from MTN trade partners and connect stores nationwide
- Receive orders from trade partners promptly and courteously via phone, e-mail, fax etc
- Process order requests on IFS in accordance with stock availability and PPPs
- Administer product allocation/products mix
- Administration of all MTN Trade Partners physical and logical orders
- Reporting to and reconciliation of all transactions passing through the planning system
- Providing solution to all Trade Partners issues via e mail and telephone to enhance customer support /performance.
- Manage all Trade Partners account and ensure that they reflect the true position of their relationship with the organization.
- Coordinates and advises Regional and Central Warehouse Inventory as it affects order processing for trade partners.
- Process Blacklisting request from Trade Partners
- Blacklisting of Recharge cards reported stolen by the Trade Partners on PPMS (Prepaid Management System) self help solution
- Preparation of compensation on Blacklisted cards based on the reports generated from the Blacklisting process/report.
- Generate reports on compensation due to Blacklisted cards for Trade Partners
- Provide first line resolution of queries and enquiries from trade partners and connect stores nationwide
- Resolve enquiries from trade partners promptly and escalating where necessary
- Receive enquiries from trade partners promptly and courteously via phone, e-mail, fax etc
- Liaise with various Departments such as IS, Inventory, Consumer Sales, to promote and resolve ordering issues
- Provide back office support for Regional and Consumer sales in trade partner account management
- Provide solution to enquiries referred from trade partners through Regional Sales managers/DAEs ed
- Support and operationalize strategy adopted for achieving departmental targets-Generate reports to the business in the area of operations to enable quick decision making
- Liaise With Distributors Account Managers on processes required in setting up a Distributor as partner with MTN

Job Conditions:
Standard MTN working conditions. May work extended hours

Reporting To: Sales Support Supervisor

Required Skills:
- 4 years working experience in a commercial environment including:
- Minimum of two years experience in a similar role

Qualification:
- First degree or equivalent in a business related discipline. Call center experience

Department: Internal Audit

Job Description:
- Align operational targets to business strategy
-Analyze long term implications of actions on the viability of the business from a broad
perspective
- Analyze the impact of solutions on other areas of the business, as well as the interdependency
of units
- Drive best practice, continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level
within Business Risk Management unit
- Construct, implement and fine-tune methods, processes and systems to enhance effectiveness
and meet organizational goals
- Utilize appropriate models for analyzing potential risks to the business, taking a 360 degree
view of the organizations’ risk profile
- Analyze local conditions, as well as competitor activity to create competitive advantage
- Provide input into benchmarking local and international risk management best practices and
strategies
- Provide input into the development of risk management policies and procedures
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of BRM policies and procedures
- Provide input into the development of plans for the roll-out of Risk Management in
conjunction with the Business Units across MTNN, in alignment with the Group Risk Management Framework
- Assist Senior Manager with establishment and implementation of structures to comply with
the Group Risk Management Framework in conjunction with the Business Units across MTNN
- Provide input into the implementation of improvements to Risk Management capabilities
within Business Units in MTNN
- Facilitate on-going enterprise-wide risk assessments and mitigation of risks and ownership in
all Business Units across MTNN, in line with the Group ERM framework; which involves
interviews and workshops with Senior Management
- Ensure that CURA (risks management system/ tool) is implemented and fully utilized to
automate the risk management process within MTN Nigeria
- Ensure ongoing risk identification, assessment and reporting to the stakeholders
- Provide input into the development of procedures and processes for crisis prevention and
management
- Ensure the implementation of defined project risk management framework
- Ensure the implementation of Insurance risk management in terms of group framework
- Perform in-depth evaluations on key risks within the organization
- Analyze and advise on costs associated with risk non-compliance maintenance and prevention
- Assess current and potential risks and assist business in developing prevention strategies and
business continuity plans
- Monitor and report on exposures
- Support the ERM environment in aligning to other disciplines within Business Risk
Management unit
- Provide input into forecasting, planning, and development of the budget for the unit
- Manage and optimize the budget, ensuring all expenditure is in line with the agreed budgets
- Monitor costs and determine initiatives to optimize resources
- Ensure preparation of ERM reports to stakeholders when required
- Provide input into reporting to Audit and Risk Committee on a quarterly basis
- Liaise constantly with Senior Management and Executives on various risk matters especially
tracking ownership and mitigation of risk items identified
- Train risk champions on the use of CURA software, and liaise with them on an on-going basis
regarding ERM projects
- Provide training to management and staff on risk matters, as require
Job Conditions:

Required Skills:
- 8 years work experience comprising:
- At least 3 years financial experience in Business Risk or Auditing
- At least 1- 2 years of leadership experience in similar positions, fast-moving industries would
be an added advantage
- A strong background in managing business risk in a fast – moving industries (i.e. Telecommunication)

Qualification:
- First degree in numerate discipline Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ACA) would be an added advantage Risk Management qualification would be an added advantage
