ACCOUNTANT,INTERNAL AUDITOR VACANCY AT WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL

The West African Examinations Council, a sub-regional organization responsible for the conduct of a variety of examinations in the English-speaking Wrest African countries, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the positions below in its Nigeria National Office and Lagos Department of its Headquarters Research Division.
Position: Accountants
Qualifications and Experience
•Applicants should possess a minimum of Bachelors Degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a recognised University
•Must be Associate Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with a minimum of three years post professional qualification experience.
Position: Internal Auditors
Qualifications and Experience
•Applicants should possess a minimum of Bachelors Degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a recognised University
•Must be Associate Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with a minimum of three years post professional qualification experience.
Applicants for all positions must:
•Be able to use personal computers, office software packages and have knowledge of web-based systems
•Be self motivated and able to write good reports; analyse and review research reports; be able to work extra hours with little or no supervision
•Be a team player with good Inter personal skills; be open and able to lead change Possess influencing skills
•Be an organizer/planner with ability to be flexible and a finisher with ability to successfully implement ideas
•Possess analytical and communication skills

NB: Applicants for all positions must (in addition to their degrees and professional qualifications) possess five credits including English Language and Mathematics at a sitting in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE “O” Level or six credits including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in WASSC’E/SSCE/GCE “O” Level.
Applicants should not be more than 30 years of age as at the close of applications except those for the positions of Senior Purchasing/ Procurement Officer, Senior Legal Officer and Senior Public Affairs Officer who should not be more than 35 years.

Requirements:
Possession of First Degree or HND from any recognized institution and NYSC discharge certificate.

(2)Position:- Examinations Officer (Accounts)Requirements:
Possession of First Degree or HND in Accounting from any recognized institution and NYSC discharge certificate.

(3)Position:- Examinations Officer (Computer Services)
Requirements:
Possession of First Degree or HND in Computer Studies/Science or passion of First Degree in other areas and Diploma in Computer Studies/Science from any recognized institution and NYSC discharge certificate.

(4)Position: - Librarian
Requirements:-Possession of Diploma in Library studies from any recognized institution.
