Responsibilities:
•The Quarry Manager will oversee all areas of operation at the Quarry and ensuring that quarries, pits and opencast sites operate successfully; oversee all operations, both on site and in the office, manage staff, coordinate production and monitor all site systems.
Experience & Requirements:
•HND or BSC in Mining /Civil Engineering with practical working experience in the running of a quarry both in Nigeria or Abroad.
•An MBA degree would be an added advantage.
•Not less than 40 years of age
•A minimum of 10 years practical experience in related industry.
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.
Position: Electrical/Electronics Engineers
Location: Port Harcourt
Responsibilities:
•Perform duties such as designing and installation of electrical and electronic panel, power system designs, re¬distribution, re-installation and overhauling of electrical panels, in a power plant Design, construct and installation of power plants. Installation and maintenance of crushers and cones in a large scale quarry.
Qualification and Experience;
•HND or BSC in Electrical / electronic with practical experience in Quarry and mining
•Not less than 30 years of age
•5-8 years post qualification experience
•Working knowledge of major crushing equipment such as SANVIK machines will be an added advantage
•Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering manuals.
•Must be familiar with Microsoft projects such Microsoft excel
•Must be Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) competent
•COREN certified or other professional qualification is an added advantage
•Must be a super user of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.

FEILD DRILLING ENGINEER,FEILD TECHNICIANS VACANCIES AT WTS

(1)Position: Field Drilling Engineer (Ref: WTS/GA/005)
Specifically, the successful candidate will:
•Make-up, load out and installation of CPDT equipment as per company’s best practice and to customers requirements
•Conducts all pre-job checks on equipment to ensure all equipment is available and fit for work
•Works as crew member during the actual installation. Ensure safe rig up and operation of equipment in accordance with:
•Company and Customer instructions.
•Perform workshop duties prior to load out of equipment package including equipment inspection, assembly and testing.
•Ensure that all workshop activities are conducted in accordance with HSE Management Systems and relevant product line work instructions and guidelines.
•Inspection of all equipment prior to load out to ensure compliance to work instructions and correct documentation.
•Collation of job work package including all relevant QAQC documentation.
•Contribution to post-installation reports, including.
•End of well report.
•Other duties as directed.
Qualifications experience and attributes
•Basic knowledge of relevant computer software.
•Offshore survival certificate and H2S certificate
•Ability to work unsupervised.
•Minimum of 4 years relevant oilfield experience, including 3 years with associated handling tools.
•Applicant must possess University Engineering degree (B.Eng) or relevant.
(2)Position: Field Technicians (Ref: WTS/GA/006)
Performs field Controlled Pressure Drilling Business Unit and maintenance of Business Unit’s equipments, according to internal and external customer requirements.
Qualifications, experience and attributes
•QHSSE procedural knowledge.
•Basic understanding of quality management principle:
•Extensive knowledge of rig floor operations and associated handling procedures
•Basic knowledge of relevant computer software,
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially English
•Minimum 4 years assigned product & service line’s equipment and operations
•University Engineering degree (B.Eng) or relevant.

Position: Mechanic
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain Port Harcourt ICRC vehicle fleet, generators and boats to the required standards
Maximise fleet efficiency and effectiveness through planned preventative maintenance in accordance with internal institutional guidelines or in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations. Ensure that external works are done accordingly
Monitor and control of all fuel consumption including contingency planning
Ensure that all stocks of tools, spare parts and consumables are maintained in good and clean condition. If necessary, purchase locally spare parts folio wing ICRC purchasing procedures
Carry monthly inventories of all stock in accordance with ICRC guidelines
Maintain vehicle, generator and boat files containing all the maintenance and accident history
Operate and maintain ICRC standard fleet computer system if required Liaison with the Vehicle Fleet Manager in Abuja
Required Qualifications:
Minimum five years proven experience in vehicle, generator or boat maintenance, certification required
Experience in maintenance of boat and engines for boat would be an asset
Experience in generator (15Kva upwards) installation and maintenance would be an asset
Previous field experience with commercial, embassies or humanitarian organizations preferred
Good knowledge of written and spoken English
Basic knowledge of computers required: Word, Excel and any fleet program
Ability to work independently and with a sense of initiative
Methodical person with common sense and rigour (good diagnosis and planning capacity)
Strong sense of responsibility and adaptability, able to work overtime when needed
Valid driving license and driving experience
Starting date: Ideally in April 2011
