Position: Procurement Team Leader.
The Procurement Team Leader will be required to:
Provide strategic leadership to the procurement function of the organization;
Provide overall guidance for strengthening the procurement unit and functions within the organization.
Develop procurement plan to ensure implementation of the organization’s work plan and strategies;
Implement the procurement activities under the procurement plan in accordance with the Public Procurement Act and other standard procurement procedures;
Build the procurement capacity within the organization through on-the-job as well as through formal training;
Provide qualitative support services to the organization’s operations through effective implementation of business policies and procedures governing procurement management & control.
Ensure effective and optimal utilization and allocation of resources of the organization.
Requirements
Interested candidates must have a first degree or its equivalent in Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Purchasing and supply or any relevant field.
Candidates should also posses at least 10 (ten) years relevant experience in similar assignment out of which at least five (5) years must be hands-on experience in directly handling/managing procurement activities.
Possession of professional qualifications like CIPS, COREN, NSE, ICAN and etc will be an added advantage.
