The Bank is currently looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit Function in order to strengthen its capacity to cope with the rapid and dynamic growth of the bank.
Position: Senior Internal Auditor
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- University degree /HND in Accounting or Finance, Business Administration, or other relevant
discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience within the Internal Audit Function of a Financial Institution or external audit company
- Holder of the ACA/ACCA certificate or any other recognized professional Accounting/Auditing certification
- Conversant with all relevant financial laws and external regulations as well as audit standards and best practices
- Have a good knowledge of local Accounting Standards and international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Demonstrate a pro-active ability to accurately identify problems and risks, to systematically and logically analyze information and propose solutions
- Honest person with very high integrity and independence also observing professional ethics when executing his/her duties
- Effective oral and written communication including cooperation across departments whilst maintaining discretion, confidentiality and focus
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and bank’s branches in Nigeria
As Senior Internal Auditor, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist the Head of Internal Audit with the preparation of the Annual Risk Assessment, Annual Audit Plan and Budget
- Performing and supervising audit assignments of the different activities of the bank
- Pro-actively develop new audit programs, working papers and techniques
- Support the Head of Internal Audit in fulfilling training and development needs
