ARIK AIRLINE: GENERAL MANAGER,HR AND ADMIN,GENERAL MANAGER-FINANCE JOB VACANCIES

Arik Air is the largest commercial airline in West & Central Africa presently capturing over 40% share of the Nigeria aviation market. (1) POSITION:GENERAL MANAGER
(2) POSITION:HR AND ADMIN
Job Description
- The post shall be responsible for creating and leading a strategic human capital value service
and also provide effective support to management and the entire business operations
especially in day-to-day administrative matters, logistics and other support services required
for the effective running of a fast-paced airline business.
Principal Responsibilities:
- The post holder shall initiate and implement effective people management policies and
procedures for the entire organization that will lead to the realization of corporate business
objectives.
- The successful candidate shall oversee the Human Resources function and coordinate all
administrative support services such as transportation, protocol, utilities and facilities
management and guests/expatriate liaison.
Candidate Specification:
- Candidates should possess minimum of first degree in the social sciences.
- Minimum of years in similar position, last four of which should be at senior management
position.
Other Requirements:
- Candidate should preferably not more than 45 years of age.
- Should have excellent interpersonal relationship skills and demonstrate leadership
capabilities.
- Qualitative negotiation and management skills.
- Possess numerical skills and have a knack for details.
- Ability to provide quick-fix solutions to people and operational challenges.
- Candidate should fee energetic, innovative and creative and be work long hours
- Knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of human resources and administration.
- Ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the special requirement of the Board of
Directors.
(3)POSITION: GENERAL MANGER-FINANCE
The GM Finance will oversee the compares entire finance team and provide a strategic and dynamic leadership that will create a value-adding and elective management of the company’s financial resources.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct and control the operations of the Finance Department.
- Develop and implement Financial Policies, systems and Procedures.
- Supervise the Preparation of Financial Statements and Management Reports.
- Co-ordinate the organization’s financial planning and budget process.
- Liaise between the organization and its external auditors and government agencies.
Candidate Specification:
- The candidates required for this position should possess the following.
- A University degree in Accounting and a Masters in the Finance related field.
- At least eight years post professional Accounting (ACA/ACCA) qualification.
- Minimum of 12 years experience, five of it at the senior management level in aviation or other
finance environment.
- Technically sound with proven achievements in financial management, and high level of
computer literacy.
- An energetic and intelligent individual who can cope under immense work pressure.
