CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER,COMPLIANCE MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES ADVISOR VACANCIES AT MARITIME COMPANY

A maritime company requires competent individuals to fill the vacancies listed below. All position requires demonstrated computer skill especially in MS Word, Excel, Internet and Intranet.
(1)Position: Chief Security Officer (East)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the security of life and property of the terminal and movement within the city.
Key Responsibilities
Implement & audit compliance of Port Facility Security Codes
Coordinate and direct the activities of the company’s Guards deployed in all areas of the operation
Ensure the restriction of movement/traffic of unwanted, unapproved and uninvited persons or vehicles into the terminal premises and other restricted areas like workshop, Guest House etc
Qualification, Skills & experience
B.Sc /B.A. degree or HND, PFSO Certified professional
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
Minimum of 10 years experience as a Security personnel (in-service or post-service), Ex-service men are desirable
Discerning and Surveillance skills, Good and cordial relationship with military and paramilitary institution
Adequate knowledge of the security requirement of a Port Terminal
(2)Position: Compliance Manager
Location: (East and Lagos)
The successful candidates for this critical position will work on the nation-wide Internal Audit activities that involve multiple locations including the West African regions. This position performs Audits of varying complexity and communicates to senior management areas requiring control enhancements as well as provides recommendations for improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize and carry out internal audit function including preparation of an audit plan which fulfils the objective of the company & statutory requirements
Recommends and schedules financial, compliance, performance and electronic data processing (EDP) based audits of the company
Make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed, report on the findings and monitor management’s response and implementation
Qualification, Skills & experience
B.Sc./HND degree in Accounting plus a recognized professional qualification; -CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), – ACA (Association of Chartered Accountants), ACCA (Certified Chartered Accountant), CIPFA (Public Finance Accountant). -IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors)
Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
A thorough knowledge of the principles, procedures and practices of accounting, financial records and transaction
A knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits.
A knowledge of computerized accounting and auditing record keeping systems
(3)Position: Human Resources Advisor (East)
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the administering of the Human Resources policies that will enhance the business operations and ensure a motivated workforce.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate the implementation of the performance management system
Implement company-wide training and career management plan
Conduct periodic employee engagement survey and compensation surveys
Assist in negotiation and conflict resolutions
Coordinate the HR information system & interpret policies
Qualification, Skills & experience
B.Sc./HND degree (a master degree will be an advantage) Membership/certification of a recognized professional HR institute (e.g. CIPMN) Minimum of 2 years experience in HR function of a reputable organization
